What an interesting feeling to be in a place and not feel the urge to pick up a pen.

It’s the first time on the tour where I’ve felt like I didn’t have anything to write about

It’s not because people aren’t characters, they are (trust me), it’s that it feels like home.

Oklahoma and Texas (home state) aren’t actually all that different. Oklahomans feel as prideful as Texans — and why wouldn’t they be? I completely understand it. There’s also the southern charm Oklahoma and Texas share… I felt most at home when I went to the restroom at a bar (Bunker) and found they had hairspray on the powder table, ready to be used. I used it.

Oklahoma is no longer a fly-over state, and its residents want you to know.

Oklahoma City is fun, it’s young, it’s filled with neat bars and restaurants and a lot of people who are interested in community and actually helping one another out.

There are distinct little neighborhoods in OKC (Paseo, Bricktown, Asian District, Plaza District, etc.).

One of the greatest shocks OKC delivered was the Cowboy Museum. It’s one of the best museums I’ve ever been to, in my life. I was blown away by it. The attention to detail, and the details within the history, both were astonishing.

Sadly, I left the day before the OUS vs. OU game which would have been a riot. Imagine, beer pong and drinking games, the good ole days. But as a UT grad was I even allowed? Cameron had so kindly invited me to a party for that evening, even AFTER I said I went to UT and my Step-Dad and older brother both went to OUS (cringe).
