Lake Erie, New York - Random Stop, Glad I Did
Stumbling upon Lake Erie was like finding a golden nugget on the side of a highway.
As I was leaving Buffalo, New York this past Saturday and heading to Morgantown, West Virginia I was bombarded with signs heckling travelers like me to visit Lake Erie.
I was determined not to stop because I’ve seen lakes before and didn’t need to see another (right?). I mean, what’s so special about Lake Erie? I should also mention I was driving like a bat 🦇 out of hell because I left Buffalo late and didn’t want to be on the road at night so I needed to make time.
However, when Google Maps told me it was only an additional 15 mins, I decided to make it happen.
Again, like my random stop in Albany, I’m glad I did.
I ended up walking around for 20 minutes enjoying the last-minute-summer-moments that were shared by myself and the RV’ers, beach go-ers, and travel-stop-resters.
