I met Carrie at an underground, downtown café called Café Myriade on a sweltering July day.
When I arrived, Carrie was chatting with friends who happened to be in the same spot enjoying coffee. Montréal is what I like to call a “big-small” city, and Carrie is a social butterfly in the middle of it all.

Carrie’s life is a masterpiece. In fact, her Instagram bio reads: “The Art of Living by Carrie MacPherson” for a reason.
While I had been reduced to a puddle of hot water, Carrie looked fresh and energized.
Her clothing was chic, yet lightweight enough to withstand the hot day (like she’s done this before?).
Although I’m a native Texan, I’ve never been able to figure out how women maintain their chic style in the scorching sun without appearing like a wilted flower.
It’s an art—one that Carrie has clearly mastered.

Saskatchewan is 30 hours away from Montéal. Canada is massive!
Carrie grew up in rural Saskatchewan, Canada (follow the hashtag #prairiecarrie for more on this), but always knew she wanted to venture to the bigger city.
At first, she thought that might be Europe, but upon settling in Montréal, Carrie realized this is the next best thing.

Carrie is a social media marketing specialist by day, and a world-traveling, adventure-seeking artist in her spare time (and sometimes the two mix!).
I describe her as the walking Vogue of Montréal. Not only is she a world traveler, her looks are impeccable.
Clothing is play for Carrie. I am enamored with her style because it has such a range, yet all feel true to her bubbly personality.
I’m wholeheartedly convinced that there isn’t a look she can’t rock.
But enough about my not-so-secret style crush.
